Application for Associate Membership

Applying for Associate Membership is the first step toward fellowship within ATA and, in time, accreditation. This page explains the requirements, what the application form covers, and the fees.

How to Apply

  1. Download and read the ATA Manual for Accreditation. It sets out the full requirements for membership application.
  2. Complete the Application Form for Associate Membership (download below).
  3. Obtain a recommendation letter from a local ATA member seminary in your country, endorsing your institution to ATA.
  4. Submit your completed application to Dr. Nativity A. Petallar, Associate Secretary for Accreditation, at nativity_petallar@ataasia.com.

Institutions in India should follow the “Applications from India” note below.

What the Application Form Covers

The application form gathers the following information about your institution:

  • Institutional & Program Summary — institution name and address, contact details, head of institution, current programs and curricula, faculty and librarians, and institutional history.
  • Statistical Summary — student enrolment, faculty numbers, finances, and library/educational resources for the current year and the previous four years.
  • Governance & Strategic Plan — mission and vision, organisational objectives, governing body and executive leadership, and your strategic plan for growth.
  • Agreements & Responses to ATA — confirmation that you meet the Criteria for Associate Membership, agreement with ATA values, the ATA Constitution and Statement of Faith, an endorsement from an ATA member school, and signed agreements on fees, reporting, and status representation.

Fees

Fees are charged in US dollars (USD) and grouped by the location of the institution. Fees are subject to change from time to time.
