The first quarter of 2019 allowed us to see one accreditation visit with a VET composed of Drs. Ng Peh Cheng, Associate Secretary of Accreditation & Educational Development, ATA; Rahmiati Tanudjaja, Overseer of Missions Department, Southeast Asia Bible Seminary, Indonesia; and Rev Derek Li, Senior Pastor, Scarborough Baptist Church, Canada. The visit was to Yan Fook Theological Seminary (YFTS), Hong Kong, and was held last March 5 – 7.

Formerly known as the Yan Fook Bible Institute (YFBI), YFTS was established in the year 2000 by Rev. Dr. Patrick Wing- Chi in order to meet the increasing need for theologically trained lay leaders in the Yan Fook Church. The Institute began offering study programs to Yan Fook Church members in 2001 and eventually expanded to the wider Christian community. The mission of YFTS is to equip godly servant leaders in order to build up the Body of Christ and fulfil the Great Commission. YFTS gives emphasis on wholistic training with a focus on the following areas: cognitive formation, skill formation, and spiritual formation.
